Day 30 – Opelousas, LA to Eunice, LA

Short but cool and windy ride to Eunice this morning. In the 50’s and winds 20 mph+, fortunately they were mostly from the north and there was a lot of protection by trees along the way so I was able to move at a good pace.

Eunice is a very picturesque little town and has a small LSU campus. Found a great coffee/sandwich shop where I am doing this blog from. I took a couple of pictures of the downtown street, see below.

The picture of the crew members shows two Mack fire trucks, the one on the left is vintage 1972 and the one on the right is 1984/85 vintage. I do not recall seeing other Mack fire strucks at the other stations. They have a third Mack truck vintage 1978.
