Day 52 – Sonora, TX to Ozona, TX

Finally got a Verizon connection for my cell phone and was able to email photos to my computer, first time in about 5 days. The first picture is of the Klaassen family who hosted me in Medina, TX. The next one is in Utopia, TX where Mike and Mary Forman, who hosted me for two days in Leakey, TX, took me for a wonderful lunch. The next ones are of the Forman’s home and of them at the entrance to their home “Agaritaville”.

The next one is of the owners of the B & B South Llano River Lodge, Susan and Walter, and Bill and Cathy Nolan where we stayed the last two nights in Junction, TX. After that is one of Bill and Cathy shortly before Cathy drove Bill and me to Sonora to start our ride to Ozona. And finally one of me eating dessert at Pepe’s Mexican restaurant in Ozona, TX earlier today.

Today’s ride was about 36 1/2 miles of easier hills which we covered in just under 3 hours. The weather continued to be cool, considering we did not start until about a quarter to noon which gave Bill and Cathy an opportunity to attend Mass in Junction, TX. Not as much cloud cover as yesterday but still a very nice day.

A big thank you to all of you that responded to my call for help by donating to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund. Went over the 50% mark yesterday!!!
