Day 56 – Pecos, TX to Balmorhea, TX

Another almost perfect weather day for ElliptiGOing. There was an elevation gain but very gradual, seemed almost flat most of the way. We stopped at a Mercantile store near the entrance to Balmorhea and had a couple of ice cream bars each. The pictures beow were taken in front of the store, one of Bill and me and the other one of us with a couple of oil industry workers that liked the ElliptiGOs.

We then went a bit beyond the town to a state park with a fresh water sping that provides water for the area. There we spent some time by a huge pool that holds 3 1/2 million gallons of water where we waited for Bill’s friend to come to take us to Van Horn, TX where we will spend the next two nights. Tomorrow’s ride to Sierra Blanca, TX will be the last one with Bill. Saturday I head to Fort Hancock, TX from Sierra Blanca, TX and Bill to Santa Fe, NM to do his Century ride on Sunday.
