Day 92 – In-Ko-Pah Park Rd to Boulevard, CA

Got a lift from Ocotillo to the I8/Old Hwy 80 junction at In-Ko-Pah Park Road. This was a very steep and windy section of I8 I did not want to climb. This is one of the few sections of freeway in California where bikes are allowed because there is no other road access.

Continued on Old Hwy 80 and took this picture near Jucumba, CA. The dark line in the distance behind the sign is the fence between Mexico and the USA. It was slow going to Boulevard as there were still a number of fairly steep climbs to get there.

The Fire Station in Boulevard is a Volunteer Fire Station with the County of San Diego but is staffed 24/7 unlike most other volunteer stations I encountered on this trip. Justin and Matt had just finished cleaning these two trucks when I took the pictures.
